NPI Test Process Engineer
Role Summary
Support new product introduction (NPI) from development through mass production, focusing on product readiness, process and test validation, yield improvement, and production ramp-up.
Work with cross-functional teams including Development Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing Engineering and production to enable successful product launches and global transfers.
Experience Level
Entry-level to early career (0–3 years). Fresh graduates encouraged; practical experience with test systems is advantageous.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include planning, validation, and production support for new products.
- Act as NPI liaison between Development Engineering and Operations; drive products from development to release.
- Coordinate manufacturing readiness, equipment selection, capacity planning and qualification builds.
- Develop and execute project plans covering cost reduction and waste management.
- Transfer products and processes globally and support production ramp-up.
- Prepare process documentation and support audits and continuous improvement activities.
- Troubleshoot and resolve issues affecting yield and product quality; influence design for manufacturability.
- Support on-call duties and multiple concurrent tasks to meet project timelines.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, behaviors, and environment fit.
- Experience working with Automated Test Equipment (ATE) is preferred; familiarity with ETS364, 93K, Diamondx, ETS800 or Flex module testers is a plus.
- Knowledge of basic electronics (analog, digital, mixed-signal) is an advantage.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced semiconductor manufacturing environment.
- Good communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally.
- Self-motivated, quick learner, able to work independently.
- Willingness to support on-call duties when required.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronics, Mechatronics or related fields). Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply.
