Job Title
NPI PCB Technical Program Manager
Role Summary
Lead complex, cross-functional new-product-introduction (NPI) PCB programs for NVIDIA's OPS Quick Turn PCB Engineering Service Team, managing projects from concept through production and coordinating internal engineering, product, and supplier R&D teams.
NVIDIA offers competitive salary, equity, and benefits.
Experience Level
Senior β requires 10+ years of relevant NPI, project, or materials management experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical program leadership, schedule and risk management, supplier coordination, and continuous improvement of NPI processes.
- Lead internal and external cross-functional teams (engineering, SI/PI, DFM, quality, PCB and material suppliers) to deliver NPI programs on time and within technical requirements.
- Own end-to-end technical program management for advanced PCB builds (HDI, high-layer-count): stack-up review, DFM, pre-order material, fabrication, and delivery to engineering.
- Drive technical trade-offs across schedule, cost, yield, and development risk; review stack-ups, impedance, materials, and panel utilization with suppliers and design teams.
- Build and maintain detailed program schedules, critical paths, and risk registers; lead just-in-time risk-buy strategy and resolve supplier capacity and blocking issues.
- Track and communicate full-path PCB ordering status (order placement through goods receipt) and publish clear, data-driven status to stakeholders and executives.
- Define, instrument, and monitor program and supplier metrics (cycle time, delivery, yield, NPI quality) and drive tooling, workflow, and process improvements.
- Run technical program reviews, gate meetings, and post-mortems; capture lessons learned and create repeatable playbooks for future programs.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills below; followed by desirable (nice-to-have) experience.
Must-have:
- 10+ years recent experience in project management, materials management, or equivalent NPI responsibilities.
- Strong technical proficiency in PCB development and manufacturing fundamentals: stack-up, materials (CCL, prepreg), HDI/HLC processes, DFM, impedance, and panel utilization.
- Proven ability to lead geographically distributed cross-functional teams and coordinate with local and offshore suppliers.
- Demonstrated track record managing multiple concurrent programs with shifting requirements and tight timelines; ownership of critical-path schedules and risk mitigation.
- Strong analytical, structured problem-solving, and data management skills; ability to present technical trade-offs and program status to engineering leaders and executives.
- Practical experience with SAP PRD and PDP / Windchill or similar PLM/ERP platforms.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience driving NPI on advanced compute, GPU, networking, or AI hardware platforms.
- Deep hands-on experience with HLC and HDI PCBs, complex multi-supplier builds, and SI/PI or DFM trade-offs.
- Experience defining program KPIs and building dashboards or automation to scale global NPI operations.
- Experience using AI tools to automate reporting and accelerate program-management workflows.
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
