NPI Engineering Build Manager
Role Summary
Manage the NPI networking engineering build program to support quick-turn prototype and qualification builds. The role coordinates design engineering, material suppliers, PCB manufacturing, operations and planning to reduce cycle time and ensure products are ready for production.
Experience Level
Senior (Manager level). The posting requests at least 2+ years in a similar role, preferably within engineering, manufacturing or operations.
Responsibilities
Deliver program management and cross-functional coordination for NPI builds.
- Create and execute production plans for product lifecycles with manufacturers.
- Coordinate with engineering, suppliers, operations, PCB fabs and planning teams; adapt to changing requirements.
- Track and communicate key deliverables, constraints, risks, dependencies and critical paths.
- Report program status in alignment meetings and escalate risks to management.
- Lead and participate in cross-functional NPI meetings and highlight operational issues affecting readiness for production.
- Drive closure by aligning distributed teams and recommending process/methodology improvements.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience.
- 2+ years experience in a similar role within engineering, manufacturing or operations.
- Ability to track multiple projects simultaneously and manage priorities.
- Strong leadership, communication, problem-solving and decision-making skills; able to influence cross-functional stakeholders.
- Experience analyzing and improving supply chain processes.
- Excellent knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing flow and processes and proven program management capability.
- Concise and actionable written and verbal communication.
Nice-to-have:
- Prior experience in semiconductor, interconnect, board, or system NPI.
- Working knowledge of SAP.
- Experience working across global, distributed teams in a multifaceted environment.
Education Requirements
B.Sc. in Industrial Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
