Job Title
NPI Engineer 4
Role Summary
Responsible for qualifying, characterizing and transferring analog/mixed-signal IC products from prototype samples to mass production. Lead cross-functional efforts with design, manufacturing, marketing, customers and vendors to meet release schedules, reliability targets and yield goals.
Experience Level
Senior β minimum 8+ years of semiconductor experience, particularly with analog/mixed-signal devices on CMOS processes.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Qualify and characterize analog/mixed-signal ICs through prototype to high-volume production.
- Plan and execute reliability qualification (ESD, LU, HTOL) and package qualifications.
- Design and support burn-in and test programs; support BIB-related activities.
- Collect, analyze and report characterization and statistical data to inform decisions.
- Lead cross-functional projects to drive milestones, cost reduction and yield improvement.
- Interface with customers, vendors, marketing, design and manufacturing teams to resolve product issues.
- Validate ATE PVT with controlled GRR experiments and set guard-band test limits.
- Drive product quality targets (for example, reduce DPPM).
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- Minimum 8+ years in the semiconductor industry with analog/mixed-signal devices using CMOS processes.
- Proven failure analysis and problem-solving skills across design, test, package and process domains.
- Strong project management, communication, leadership and teamwork abilities.
- Experience collecting and analyzing characterization data and performing statistical capability analysis.
- Experience validating ATE PVT and running controlled GRR experiments.
- Customer-facing experience supporting product issues and technical reports.
- Nice-to-have: knowledge of ESD, LU testing and burn-in-board (BIB) design.
Education Requirements
Candidate must possess at least a Bachelor's, Professional, or Master's degree in Engineering (Electrical/Electronic) or equivalent practical experience.
