Role Summary
The NPI Director leads the end-to-end industrialization strategy for Assembly and Final Test technologies, overseeing the transfer of new products from concept to high-volume manufacturing (HVM).

Responsibilities

- Define and enforce global "handshake" protocols between R&D and Operations to reduce friction during mass-production ramps.
- Lead BOM and cost strategy, including 2nd-source selection, material substitution, localization, and collaboration with procurement to drive cost savings.
- Conduct competitive analysis and benchmarking to maintain cost-competitive product material portfolios.
- Manage the organization (~30 indirect, ~20 direct reports), develop talent, and implement succession planning for technical SMEs and future leaders.
- Lead cross-functional teams during high-visibility technical excursions and manufacturing crises to restore and stabilize production.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills:
- Minimum 15+ years hands-on experience in Semiconductor Assembly and Test engineering.
- 5β7 years in senior leadership overseeing large-scale engineering operations and multidisciplinary teams.
- Expert knowledge of advanced packaging technologies, materials science, and equipment automation.
- Proven ability to connect engineering decisions to P&L outcomes and material value-added (MVA) performance.
- Strong executive presence with demonstrated ability to influence C-suite stakeholders, negotiate with global suppliers, and align factory teams.
- Experience managing cost-reduction initiatives, vendor second-sourcing, and supplier collaboration is advantageous.
