Job Title

Non-Volatile Memory Device/PI Engineer

Role Summary

Develop non-volatile memory (NVM) devices on analog and digital process flows within Advanced Technology Development. Lead technology selection, bitcell design, process integration, experiments, characterization, simulation, and delivery of production-ready NVM solutions.

Work cross-functionally with wafer fabrication facilities and multiple design groups to capture requirements, evaluate trade-offs, and deliver reliable memory technologies on schedule.

Experience Level

Entry-level (2+ years of relevant engineering experience).

Responsibilities

Accountable for technical decisions and delivery across the device development lifecycle. Key responsibilities include:

  • Select and evaluate NVM technologies for analog and embedded processes.
  • Define bitcell architectures and device/process integration approaches.
  • Plan and execute SWR/DOE experiments and define test structures.
  • Characterize devices, perform data analysis, and run device simulations.
  • Produce design rules, process-control documentation, and reliability assessments.
  • Coordinate with fabrication facilities and design teams to capture requirements and assess trade-offs.
  • Drive schedules and deliver production-worthy NVM technologies within budget.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

  • 2+ years of relevant engineering experience in semiconductor or memory device development.
  • Practical experience with NVM technologies (floating-gate: OTP, EEPROM, FLASH; and antifuse NVM).
  • Knowledge of memory device physics, semiconductor device physics, and circuit design.
  • Understanding of CMOS and memory process flows, NVM operation, and reliability.
  • Working knowledge of yield and data analysis techniques.

Nice-to-have:

  • Circuit design engineering experience; familiarity with Spectre and Cadence design/layout tools.
  • Experience with data-analysis tools (JMP, Spotfire, Dataware) and scripting (Perl, Python).
  • Strong communication, documentation, organization, and project ownership skills; ability to work across multiple teams.

Education Requirements

Master's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related engineering field is required.
