Role Summary
Design and support digital ASIC IP for high-speed HBM and LPDDR memory subsystems as part of an ASIC engineering team. Work includes architecture support, RTL/design implementation, verification support, and documentation for block/SoC development.
Experience Level
Entry-level / early career. Role is targeted at engineers who work under supervision; prior internship or 6+ months of relevant hands-on experience in architecture/design tools, scripting, or verification is preferred.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include design, verification support, and documentation for memory subsystem IP:
- Assist in defining, modeling, and designing digital IP or SoC components for memory subsystems (HBM, LPDDR).
- Help create architectures, circuit/logic specifications, and system simulations from system-level requirements.
- Support implementation strategy, synthesis/place-and-route, timing and power analysis, and verification flows.
- Use EDA flows and tools (e.g., RTL-to-GDS flow) to execute design tasks.
- Write technical documentation for EDA/IP/ASIC projects and communicate progress with team members.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and behaviours; preferred items listed separately.
- Fundamental ASIC/digital design knowledge and ability to learn design flows under supervision.
- Basic familiarity with RTL design concepts and logic implementation.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills for routine technical reporting.
- Willingness to follow defined processes from design through verification and tapeout support.
- Comfort using scripting or programming for automation and tool integration.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with architecture and design tools, scripting languages, and design verification methods (listed as preferred by employer).
- Familiarity with specific tools/flows such as RTL-to-GDS and Virtuoso.
Education Requirements
Minimum: Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering, or a related field. Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
Compensation range: $101,400.00 - $152,200.00 (USD, yearly)
