Role Summary
Entry-level position on NVIDIA's GPU architecture teams in China focused on performance, modeling, verification, and system validation across GPU and SoC designs. Responsibilities
Typical responsibilities include:
- Develop and run performance and functional models to evaluate GPU and SoC architectures.
- Build and enhance performance simulators, profiling frameworks, and workload capture/replay tools.
- Design and maintain pre-silicon programming, test environments, and validation platforms.
- Create directed and constrained-random tests; run and debug tests on simulators, RTL, emulators, and silicon.
- Investigate GPU and memory-system architectures; propose and validate architectural improvements.
- Profile, diagnose, and optimize system and application performance.
- Validate designs across modeling, simulation, emulation, and silicon bring-up stages.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architecture, hardware, software) during design and release cycles.
Requirements
Key technical skills and experience.
Must-have:
- Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; experience with Linux and object-oriented software development.
- Familiarity with GPU programming and debugging (CUDA).
- Knowledge of performance/functional modeling, profiling, and trace- or execution-driven simulation.
- Understanding of computer systems, compilers, and assembly language.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with system modeling tools such as SystemC.
- Background in ASIC design, RTL, verification, random-test development, or post-silicon validation.
- Experience with deep learning model development or AI workload optimization.
Education Requirements
Expected to graduate in 2027 with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Relevant subject areas mentioned include Computer Architecture, GPU Architecture, Microprocessor Design, and Memory Systems.
