Job Title

New College Graduate, GPU Architecture Engineering (China)

Role Summary

Entry-level position on NVIDIA's GPU architecture teams in China focused on performance, modeling, verification, and system validation across GPU and SoC designs. Work spans pre-silicon modeling and simulation to post-silicon bring-up, collaborating with architects, hardware, and software engineers throughout the chip development lifecycle.

Experience Level

Entry-level β€” New college graduate; expected to graduate in 2027.

Responsibilities

Typical responsibilities include:

  • Develop and run performance and functional models to evaluate GPU and SoC architectures.
  • Build and enhance performance simulators, profiling frameworks, and workload capture/replay tools.
  • Design and maintain pre-silicon programming, test environments, and validation platforms.
  • Create directed and constrained-random tests; run and debug tests on simulators, RTL, emulators, and silicon.
  • Investigate GPU and memory-system architectures; propose and validate architectural improvements.
  • Profile, diagnose, and optimize system and application performance.
  • Validate designs across modeling, simulation, emulation, and silicon bring-up stages.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams (architecture, hardware, software) during design and release cycles.

Requirements

Key technical skills and experience.

Must-have:

  • Proficiency in C/C++ and Python; experience with Linux and object-oriented software development.
  • Familiarity with GPU programming and debugging (CUDA).
  • Knowledge of performance/functional modeling, profiling, and trace- or execution-driven simulation.
  • Understanding of computer systems, compilers, and assembly language.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with system modeling tools such as SystemC.
  • Background in ASIC design, RTL, verification, random-test development, or post-silicon validation.
  • Experience with deep learning model development or AI workload optimization.

Education Requirements

Expected to graduate in 2027 with a Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field. Relevant subject areas mentioned include Computer Architecture, GPU Architecture, Microprocessor Design, and Memory Systems.
