Job Title

New College Grad - Engineer - HBM Design for Test (DFT)

Role Summary

The Engineer – HBM Design for Test (DFT) defines, implements, integrates, and supports DFT solutions across HBM core and base die for current and next-generation HBM products.

This role partners with DFT Architecture, Design Engineering, Product Engineering, Test, and DFT Verification to ensure DFT features meet test, quality, and manufacturability requirements through tape-out, silicon bring-up, and qualification.

Experience Level

Entry-level / New college graduate. Early-career role for candidates recently graduated or with limited industry experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include implementing and supporting DFT features for HBM designs and collaborating across functions to enable successful silicon delivery.

  • Implement and integrate DFT features for assigned HBM core and base die designs following established architecture and guidelines.
  • Contribute to development and maintenance of DFT specifications, requirements, and implementation guidelines.
  • Translate manufacturing and test requirements into actionable DFT implementations and align with verification coverage.
  • Identify, debug, and resolve DFT-related issues during build execution, tape-out, and silicon bring-up.
  • Support reuse and standardization of DFT logic and methodologies across HBM products under mentorship.
  • Act as a DFT contributor or sub-domain owner for assigned programs and participate in design, verification, and readiness reviews.
  • Document implementations, lessons learned, and procedures to support team knowledge sharing.

Requirements

Must-have technical experience and abilities for immediate contribution.

  • Experience in semiconductor development with exposure to DFT, design, verification, test, or silicon debug.
  • Working knowledge of memory architectures; HBM or DRAM familiarity preferred.
  • Experience implementing DFT features and supporting DFT-related debug and bring-up activities.
  • Ability to collaborate across Design Engineering, Product Engineering, Test, and DFT Verification teams.
  • Clear technical communication skills and ability to work in a program-driven, cross-functional environment.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with DFT verification teams and coverage methodologies.
  • Familiarity with manufacturing test flows and test requirements for advanced memory products.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field is required; Master’s degree is preferred.
