Job Title

New College Grad - Engineer, DPG Compute PE Y/Q

Role Summary

Entry-level engineering role in the DRAM Product Architecture Group focused on server DRAM product health: yield, quality, and performance. The engineer will analyze manufacturing and test data, drive corrective actions, and coordinate with global fab, test, module, quality, and operations teams to support qualification and high-volume manufacturing.

Experience Level

Entry-level (new college graduate). Typically 0–2 years of relevant experience; recent graduates are the intended candidates.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include:

  • Own global product health for server DRAM products across the product lifecycle, focusing on yield, quality, and performance.
  • Analyze silicon parametric, test, and manufacturing data to identify issues and determine root causes.
  • Develop and execute yield and quality improvement strategies for NPI, qualification, ramp, and high-volume production.
  • Drive corrective actions and align priorities across fab, test, module, quality, and operations teams worldwide.
  • Use automation and AI-enabled tools to improve data analysis, workflows, and technical decision-making.
  • Support product qualification and ramp activities to achieve predictable product quality and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

Core requirements and skills:

Must-have:

  • Demonstrated knowledge (coursework or practical experience) in yield analysis, product quality, testing, debugging, or process issue resolution.
  • Ability to solve complex technical problems using structured methodologies within an agile project environment.
  • Experience developing, maintaining, or using automation solutions, including AI-assisted tools, to improve engineering productivity.
  • Strong analytical skills, clear written and verbal communication, and ability to collaborate across multiple functions and sites.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with common DRAM failure mechanisms and hands-on failure analysis techniques.
  • Knowledge of semiconductor manufacturing, backend test, module assembly, or system-level interactions.
  • Experience leading yield improvement initiatives, product qualification activities, or manufacturing optimization projects.
  • Experience applying AI or data-driven approaches to accelerate root-cause analysis and process improvement.
  • Demonstrated technical leadership in cross-site, multi-functional engineering environments.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field β€” or equivalent practical experience. The posting allows equivalent practical experience in lieu of a degree.
