Entry-level. Targeted at new college graduates; candidates should have graduated within the last 2 years from a relevant degree program.

Responsibilities

Key day-to-day responsibilities.

  • Perform IC layout for leaf cells, standard cells, and sub-blocks for HBM designs.
  • Apply systematic, detail-oriented methods to create manufacturable layouts.
  • Interpret and debug physical verification results (DRC, LVS) and implement fixes.
  • Plan tasks to meet delivery schedules and demonstrate ownership of assignments.
  • Communicate effectively with circuit designers, verification teams, and other stakeholders to ensure layout project success.

Requirements

Must-have skills and attributes (education items summarized separately below).

  • Strong understanding of electronic circuit concepts and how layout affects speed, capacitance, power and area.
  • Experience using circuit simulation and design tools.
  • Conversational English communication skills.
  • Effective interpersonal, problem-solving abilities and a collaborative team orientation.
  • Self-motivated, enthusiastic, and willing to learn semiconductor technologies.
  • Experience or interest in applying AI to automate technical or non-technical processes (required).

Nice-to-have / preferred

  • Internship or project experience in pre-silicon circuit design, analog circuits, or physical design.
  • Familiarity with CMOS fundamentals, fabrication concepts and analog layout basics.
  • Experience with programming or scripting (C++, Python).
  • Familiarity with Cadence VLE/VXL, Mentor Graphics Calibre DRC/LVS or similar physical verification tools.
  • Experience or interest in physical verification of custom layouts.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD in Electronics, Mechatronics, Robotics, Nanotechnology, or a closely related engineering/technical field. Candidates should have graduated within the last 2 years from a bachelor’s, master’s, or PhD program. Equivalent practical experience is not specified.
