Job Title

NAND DDQA Senior Engineer

Role Summary

Responsible for ownership and execution of live‑die reliability qualification for NAND products. Works on reliability analysis, risk assessment, and test strategy to support product readiness across development nodes.

Experience Level

Mid-level — typically requires 5+ years of semiconductor engineering experience focused on device, circuit, or system reliability.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include planning and executing live‑die reliability work, analyzing results, and supporting cross‑functional product decisions.

  • Own live‑die reliability qualification strategy and execution across NAND development nodes and products.
  • Define, review, and approve HTOL, dynamic stress, cycling, and mission‑profile testing using live silicon.
  • Drive early silicon learning to identify cell, array, and peripheral reliability risks.
  • Analyze live‑die reliability data to assess wear‑out, drift, degradation, and failure mechanisms.
  • Correlate live‑die results with bench, array‑level, and product‑level reliability models.
  • Perform risk assessments and clearly communicate reliability margin, gaps, and mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with Design, Technology Development, Product Engineering, Failure Analysis, and Manufacturing/Fab teams to resolve reliability issues.
  • Provide design and process feedback and support technology readiness, design reviews, and release decisions with data‑backed recommendations.
  • Improve test methodologies, standardize test conditions and reporting, and mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for successful performance in the role.

  • Minimum 5 years semiconductor engineering experience with strong exposure to NAND device, circuit, or system reliability, quality engineering, or product qualification in an advanced technology node environment.
  • Hands‑on cross‑functional experience with Technology Development, Design Engineering, Product Engineering, and Manufacturing/Fab teams to resolve complex reliability risks.
  • Strong data analysis capability, including mining large datasets, detecting abnormal trends, and calculating reliability metrics (e.g., FIT, DPM).
  • Ability to translate analysis into actionable recommendations and to present findings to diverse technical and leadership audiences.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree required in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics, Semiconductor Engineering, or a closely related technical discipline. Master’s degree or PhD in a relevant engineering or physical science field (device physics, reliability engineering, or semiconductor materials) is strongly preferred.
