Job Title

MTS Digital Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Lead the verification strategy and execution for complex digital IPs and SoCs. Work across system, design, architecture and implementation teams to establish methodology, drive verification quality, and achieve signoff.

This is a hands-on leadership role combining technical verification expertise with mentorship and cross-functional influence.

Experience Level

Senior — typically requires 10+ years of experience in digital verification and SoC-level signoff.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include ownership of verification architecture, execution, and closure for blocks, subsystems and full chips.

  • Define and own end-to-end verification strategy for IPs and complex SoCs.
  • Architect and deploy scalable UVM-based verification environments.
  • Lead block-level, subsystem, and full-chip verification closure and signoff activities.
  • Drive coverage closure (functional, code, assertions) and maintain coverage metrics.
  • Apply constrained-random verification, assertions, and effective regression management and debug practices.
  • Develop and maintain regression automation, CI/CD pipelines, infrastructure, and dashboards.
  • Collaborate with design, architecture, system, and implementation teams; mentor junior engineers.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience.

  • Extensive experience with SoC-level verification and achieving verification signoff.
  • Experience building reusable and scalable verification environments.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM methodology, and SVA (assertions).
  • Strong experience with simulation and debug tools (examples: VCS, Verdi, SpyGlass).
  • Deep understanding of clock/reset domain crossing (CDC) issues and verification strategies.
  • Scripting skills for automation (Python, Perl, TCL).
  • Experience with formal verification tools and methodologies.
  • Nice-to-have: knowledge of low-power verification (UPF/CPF).

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a closely related technical field (BS or MS in Electrical and Computer Engineering specified).
