Job Title

MPE Product Development Engineer Intern

Role Summary

Internship in Intel's Manufacturing and Product Engineering (MPE) team supporting product test and validation efforts. The intern will work on test program evaluation, debug, data analysis, and development of supporting software while contributing to AI-driven tooling and automation.

Work within global, cross-functional engineering teams to improve test coverage, yield, and engineering productivity through software and AI solutions.

Experience Level

Entry-level internship for students (third-year or final-year undergraduates). Requires ability to commit to at least a 6-month internship and onsite presence as specified.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include engineering support for product testing and AI-enabled automation.

  • Evaluate and debug new test programs and related test hardware/software.
  • Investigate and resolve product or manufacturability issues tied to testing.
  • Perform data analysis and deploy solutions to improve test coverage, yield, and hardware capacity.
  • Develop and debug support software for test program validation, data analysis, and debugging.
  • Design, develop, and deploy AI agents and generative-AI tools to automate engineering workflows and accelerate productivity.
  • Identify AI use cases, drive adoption across teams, and implement AI-powered engineering tools.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on agentic AI solutions and AI acceleration initiatives.

Requirements

Core requirements, logistics, and desired skills.

  • Must-have: Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and communication skills; ability to work onsite four days per week; commit to a minimum 6-month internship; strong verbal and written English.
  • Must-have: Basic programming aptitude and willingness to learn test-program tooling and data-analysis workflows.
  • Nice-to-have: Python and object-oriented programming experience.
  • Nice-to-have: Interest or experience in AI, generative models, or automation tools.

Education Requirements

Third-year or final-year students currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, Telecommunication, Automation and Control Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
