Module Engineer, Test Engineering Department

Role Summary

Responsible for developing and improving test processes on industry-standard tester and handler equipment (ATE), maintaining and qualifying high-volume manufacturing tools, and driving equipment/process continuous improvement. Interfaces with equipment suppliers, manufacturing teams, and customers to ensure production readiness and yield targets.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include ownership of equipment/process development, maintenance, and qualification to support high-volume manufacturing and factory ramps.

  • Develop and improve test processes on industry-standard tester and handler equipment (ATE).
  • Execute maintenance, repair, installation, conversion, and qualification of equipment and modules.
  • Drive continuous improvement of equipment and processes for safety, quality, cost, productivity, defects, and yield.
  • Define and optimize excursion prevention and detection systems for equipment and process.
  • Transfer technology to other sites via training and audits to ensure matched processing.
  • Interface with customers to optimize test program interactions with test hardware (electrical and thermomechanical).
  • Support factory ramps to meet installation, qualification, and manufacturing readiness milestones.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills, equipment familiarity, and workplace requirements. Education requirements are listed separately below.

  • CAD: advanced proficiency in Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro, or KiCad.
  • Standards: familiarity with IPC standards (IPC-2221, IPC-610), schematic design, and component-level troubleshooting.
  • Programming: practical experience with Python, C#, C/C++, and SQL; experience with Pandas.
  • Experience building AI/ML or LLM-based applications; manufacturing data (MES/SPC) is an advantage.
  • Hands-on experience with industry-standard tester and handler equipment (e.g., Teradyne Flex, Advantest V93K) and test program development or sustaining activities.
  • Proficient in spoken and written English; strong attention to detail, ownership, and ability to manage multiple assignments.
  • Willingness to work on-site in a 12-hour rotational shift pattern, four days per week.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with agentic AI solutions or real-world AI delivery.
  • Prior manufacturing equipment supplier interaction or field network connections.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Automation Control, AI, Computer Science, Software, AI/ML, Robotics/Intelligent Systems, or a related technical/engineering discipline.
