Job Title
Mobile PE (Probe/Burn Test) Engineer
Role Summary
Work on Probe/Burn testing for Mobile DRAM products within a cross-functional test engineering organization. The role partners with product leads, DFT/TSE/PE, and test-solution teams to improve test coverage, product startup, and yield.
Experience Level
Mid-level. Years of experience not specified in the posting.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on developing and validating probe and burn test strategies to ensure product quality and yield.
- Improve Probe/Burn test coverage and quality for Mobile DRAM products.
- Collaborate with DFT, TSE, and PE teams; review and sign off probe/burn program releases.
- Develop test patterns and test strategies to improve efficiency, cost, and quality.
- Support new product startup, product characterization, and electrical failure analysis using in-house engineering equipment.
- Identify root causes of low yield through systematic analysis and drive yield-improvement projects.
- Work with design and process teams to resolve defects and request design fixes for circuit issues.
- Define and secure necessary test fixtures and collaborate with test engineering teams on test flows.
- Automate program development and work processes using scripting and tools.
- Verify probe/burn patterns for new products using Verilog simulations and statistical/data parsing techniques.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills, plus a few desirable additions.
-
Must-have: Practical experience with probe/burn test program development and release processes for memory products.
-
Must-have: Ability to develop test patterns and test strategies; familiarity with test fixtures and memory test flows.
-
Must-have: Proficiency in scripting for automation and data parsing (e.g., Python, TCL, or similar).
-
Must-have: Experience with statistical analysis and data-driven yield improvement.
-
Must-have: Experience using engineering equipment for product characterization and electrical failure analysis.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with Verilog simulations for test pattern verification.
-
Nice-to-have: Prior collaboration with DFT/TSE/PE teams and familiarity with memory test architectures.
