Job Title

Mixed-Signal Design Verification Engineer

Role Summary

Work on mixed-signal verification of PHY IP (SerDes, DDR, PLL and related interfaces) for Qualcomm Snapdragon SoCs. The role partners with analog, digital, architecture, software and SoC teams to verify RTL and analog/mixed-signal designs in advanced process nodes.

Experience Level

Mid-level. Typical candidates have 2+ years of design verification or related experience.

Responsibilities

Primary verification and integration responsibilities for mixed-signal PHY IP and SoC-level verification.

  • Develop and execute SV/UVM-based verification environments for SerDes, DDR and PLL mixed-signal PHY IP.
  • Collaborate with analog and digital front-end teams to verify RTL and analog/mixed-signal designs.
  • Work with architecture, physical design, software, test and SoC teams to integrate IP into products.
  • Debug coverage and functional issues; implement test plans and automated testbenches.
  • Support pre- and post-silicon verification activities and bench characterization as required.

Requirements

Core technical skills and practical verification experience required; items marked as "nice-to-have" are desirable but not mandatory.

  • Must-have: Experience with SystemVerilog and UVM; constrained-random functional verification and strong debugging skills.
  • Must-have: Experience verifying SoC or IP blocks using industry-standard verification methodologies and tools.
  • Must-have: Knowledge of test-plan development, coverage (code/functional) analysis, assertions and transaction-level modeling.
  • Must-have: Proficiency with scripting for verification automation (Python, TCL, Perl or shell).
  • Must-have: Familiarity with gate-level simulation flows and RTL/Gate-level signoff processes.
  • Nice-to-have: Emulation experience and experience specifically with analog/mixed-signal verification techniques.
  • Nice-to-have: Experience with low-power verification (UPF) and power-aware gate-level simulation (SDF annotated GLS).
  • Nice-to-have: Post-silicon ATE/PTE vector bring-up and bench characterization experience.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Science or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience. (Source indicates Bachelor's degree but applications with equivalent experience will be considered.)
