Mixed-Signal Design Engineer - RTL and Co-Simulation
NVIDIAJob Title
Mixed-Signal Design Engineer - RTL and Co-Simulation
Role Summary
Design and verify digital RTL and analog–digital co-simulations for a power controller, covering the full control loop including protections, fault handling, calibration, and system-level verification. Work closely with analog and digital designers to debug issues across the analog–digital boundary and influence both domains.
Position based in Bengaluru with a hybrid work arrangement.
Experience Level
Entry-level - 1–3 years of relevant experience in analog–digital co-simulation and digital RTL design for power controllers.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include system-level RTL development, co-simulation, verification, and cross-domain debugging.
- Build and run co-simulations that connect digital RTL with analog circuits, SPICE models, or Verilog-A models.
- Enhance and maintain synthesizable RTL for the power controller’s full digital control loop.
- Verify startup, steady-state, transient, calibration, and fault behavior in digital and co-simulation environments.
- Debug issues that cross the analog–digital boundary in collaboration with analog and digital designers.
- Develop RTL behavioral models for mixed-signal blocks.
- Design and implement control, protection, fault-handling, and calibration features in RTL.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience.
- 1–3 years of hands-on work with analog–digital co-simulation and digital RTL design for power controller systems.
- Experience designing and debugging synthesizable Verilog or SystemVerilog RTL.
- Ability to switch between co-simulation, RTL development, and debugging as priorities change.
- Willingness to learn analog circuit behavior; analog expertise is not required.
- Strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
Nice-to-have:
- Experience with digital control logic in power management or related systems.
- Familiarity with mixed-signal and custom IP solutions.
- Understanding of firmware and embedded controllers.
- Prior exposure to analog design and mixed-signal simulation.
Education Requirements
B.S. or M.S. in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
