Mixed-signal Design Engineer
QorvoJob Title
Mixed-signal Design Engineer
Role Summary
As a Mixed-signal Design Engineer you will work on analog and digital circuit design, verification, and silicon validation for high-performance semiconductor products. You will collaborate with senior engineers and cross-functional teams (digital design, verification, test, layout) to move designs from concept to silicon.
This is an entry-level position suitable for recent graduates focused on mixed-signal ICs used in wireless and RF applications.
Experience Level
Entry-level — suitable for fresh graduates; typically 0–2 years of relevant experience.
Responsibilities
Primary duties include circuit design, simulation, layout support, validation, and cross-team collaboration.
- Assist in design and development of mixed-signal ICs, including analog blocks (ADCs, DACs, PLLs) and digital interfaces.
- Perform circuit simulations using tools such as Cadence and SPICE/QSPICE.
- Support layout engineers to ensure implementation meets design specifications.
- Participate in design reviews and document design methodologies.
- Assist with silicon validation, bring-up, and debugging of mixed-signal circuits.
- Collaborate with digital design, verification, and test engineering teams for product integration.
Requirements
Key skills and competencies required and preferred.
- Must-have: Understanding of analog and digital circuit fundamentals, mixed-signal design concepts, and semiconductor device physics; strong problem-solving skills; ability to work in a team and communicate effectively.
- Nice-to-have: Familiarity with EDA tools (Cadence Virtuoso), experience with Cadence or QSPICE simulations, prior internship or project experience in IC design.
Education Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, or a related technical field. The role targets recent graduates; no advanced degree explicitly required.
