Entry Level Digital Verification Engineer
Role Summary
Perform digital verification tasks for ASIC/SoC designs under the guidance of the verification team. Activities include developing and running test scenarios, debugging, and documenting results to improve design quality.
Work with design and methodology teams at the Austin Oakhill office to clarify requirements, support issue resolution, and contribute to verification process improvements.
Experience Level
Entry-level — targeted at recent graduates (early-career). The role expects candidates within approximately two years of completing a relevant degree or equivalent early-career experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Develop verification test scenarios, run simulations, and analyze results under team guidance.
- Assist with debugging design issues and maintaining test environments.
- Work with design and methodology teams to clarify requirements and support issue resolution.
- Prepare concise reports and documentation summarizing findings, status, and next steps.
- Contribute to verification coverage, design quality, technical learning, and continuous improvement.
Requirements
Must-have skills and attributes:
- Hands-on experience from lab work, design projects, internships, coursework, or student competitions.
- Familiarity with engineering, design, verification, programming, or lab tools and a strong willingness to learn quickly.
- Strong foundation in engineering fundamentals, problem solving, testing, and technical documentation.
- Ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and communicate technical ideas clearly.
- Proficient English communication (written and spoken).
Nice-to-have: prior internship or project experience specifically in digital verification or related workflows.
Education Requirements
Recent Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics, Computer Engineering, Computer Science, Physics, or a related discipline; candidates are expected to be within roughly two years of graduation.
