Job Title

MIR Product Engineer

Role Summary

Member of the Product Engineering team for Calibre metrology and inspection tools. The role connects ebeam metrology/inspection product engineering with business development and product marketing to grow market adoption.

Work closely with R&D, sales, and Tier‑1 customers to validate software capabilities for next‑generation semiconductor processes, define roadmaps, and support go‑to‑market activities.

Experience Level

Mid-level — requires approximately 5+ years of relevant industry experience bridging metrology/inspection with business, product management, or marketing functions.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities focus on product definition, customer engagement, technical validation, and go‑to‑market support.

  • Define product roadmaps and support business development strategies to expand market adoption.
  • Collaborate with R&D, product marketing, and key customers to deploy next‑generation metrology/inspection tools.
  • Provide technical customer support and identify upsell opportunities to increase product value.
  • Validate and characterize software capabilities for advanced semiconductor processes and critical market trends.
  • Translate customer challenges into actionable product improvements and marketing insights.
  • Create go‑to‑market collateral and present technical value propositions to key external accounts.
  • Align R&D priorities with targeted business growth and metrology requirements.

Requirements

Essential technical and professional qualifications; scripting and programming skills are preferred.

  • Proven expertise in metrology or inspection within wafer fabs (required).
  • Deep understanding of semiconductor processing and lithography (required).
  • Experience working across metrology/inspection and business or marketing functions; demonstrated customer engagement skills (required).
  • Familiarity with Unix/Linux operating environments (required).
  • Commercial mindset with strong presentation and communication skills (required).
  • Scripting or programming experience (TCL, Perl, Python) or C is a plus.
  • Ability to coordinate with R&D, sales, and Tier‑1 customers to drive product deployment (required).

Education Requirements

BS, MS, or Ph.D. in Physics, Optics, Microelectronics, Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.
