MGR, F11 Process Engineering ETCH

Role Summary

Manager responsible for leading the Etch Process engineering team at Fab 11 in Taoyuan, Taiwan. Focus is on delivering etch process development, project execution, yield improvement, and driving AI-enabled process enhancements.

The role collaborates across manufacturing, equipment, and data teams to optimize process performance and operational efficiency.

Experience Level

Senior - typically requires 5+ years of semiconductor manufacturing or process engineering experience and proven people and project leadership.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include technical leadership, project delivery, process optimization, and fostering AI-enabled engineering practices.

• Lead and manage the Etch Process engineering team to deliver engineering projects on schedule.
• Define, track, and meet project milestones and deadlines.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and optimize etch processes for manufacturing.
• Analyze process and equipment data to improve yield, performance, and operational efficiency.
• Apply AI, machine learning, and advanced analytics to identify improvement opportunities and accelerate problem-solving.
• Drive adoption of AI-enabled solutions for defect detection, predictive control, and manufacturing excellence.
• Mentor and develop team members and promote a culture of continuous improvement and digital transformation.
• Promote AI literacy and effective use of analytics tools across the team.

Requirements

Must-have skills and experience for successful performance in this role.

• 5+ years of experience in semiconductor manufacturing or process engineering.
• Proven track record of leading teams and managing engineering projects.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to work with large datasets and statistical analysis techniques.
• Experience utilizing data analytics tools and digital technologies to solve manufacturing or engineering challenges.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for cross-functional collaboration.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with etch process development and optimization.
• Familiarity with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DOE).
• Experience applying AI/ML, generative AI, or advanced analytics in semiconductor manufacturing (predictive maintenance, FDC, virtual metrology, yield prediction, automated RCA).
• Experience with data visualization and analytics platforms such as Power BI, Tableau, Python, SQL, JMP, or similar tools.
• Proficiency in Mandarin and English.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field is required. An advanced degree in Engineering or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience may be considered.
