Metal Process Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for improving metal process capacity, yield, and on-time delivery at the Wuxi wafer fab. The role performs SPC analysis, leads DOE and process optimization, investigates online abnormalities, and drives small technical projects and releases.
Experience Level
Entry-level - typically 2–3 years of wafer fabrication experience preferred.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Improve process capability to meet SPC targets (CPK > 1.33) and increase manufacturing capacity.
- Analyze and resolve online process abnormalities to meet OTD and yield targets.
- Plan and lead single-factor DOE and other experiments to optimize or develop metal processes.
- Assess process capability and collaborate with cross-functional teams to improve yield and reduce cost.
- Lead small-scale projects and technical release activities; assist in preparing PCRB reports.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills:
- At least 2–3 years of wafer fab experience.
- Practical knowledge of metal processes used in wafer fabrication.
- Proficiency with DOE and SPC methodologies.
- Good written communication in Chinese and English.
- Proficient in Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Strong problem-solving and technical skills; ability to lead small projects.
- Planning and time-management skills.

Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree (BS) in Engineering, Chemistry, or Physics preferred - or equivalent practical experience.
