Role Summary
Work on full-custom digital memory IC layout for high-speed, high-performance CMOS memories at advanced process nodes. Join the Full Custom Memory group in Bengaluru to deliver mask-ready layouts and improve memory layout methodology.

Entry-level; typically requires 2+ years of relevant memory layout experience in advanced CMOS processes.
Responsibilities
The core responsibilities include:
- Implement full-custom IC layout for digital memory circuits in advanced foundry nodes (3nm, 5nm, 7nm).
- Deliver mask-ready layouts for the Full Custom Memory IP group, including significant digital components.
- Perform floorplanning, block-level routing, and macro-level assembly.
- Apply and improve layout methodologies and best practices for memory designs.
- Perform top-level verification tasks, EM/IR checks, and manage layout-dependent effects (LOD, dummification, fills).
- Follow company procedures for IC layout activities and collaborate with verification and design teams.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 2+ years proven experience in memory layout in advanced CMOS processes.
- Strong experience with Cadence EDA tools and industry-standard layout tool flows.
- Experience with layout of high-performance memory types and related digital components.
- Knowledge of layout basics: bitcells, decoders, local I/O (LIO), device matching, symmetrical layout, and signal shielding.
- Experience with floorplanning, block routing and macro assembly.
- Knowledge of top-level verification including EM/IR quality checks and layout-dependent effects.
Education Requirements
B.E. / B.Tech. or M.Tech. in Electronics (or equivalent technical degree) preferred; equivalent practical experience accepted.
