Job Title

Memory IP Design Engineer (eFuse/MTPM/OTP/MRAM/SRAM)

Role Summary

Work in the Memory IP group in Bangalore to design, simulate, verify and deliver custom memory IP blocks (decoders, sense amplifiers, write drivers, etc.) for integration into test chips and production silicon. Collaborate with design, layout, technology, test and product engineering teams to meet quality and schedule targets.

Experience Level

Mid-level; 6–8 years of relevant experience.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design, schematic capture and simulation of full-custom memory-related circuits.
  • Characterize and validate circuit performance, reliability and statistical behavior.
  • Execute functional simulations and timing characterization.
  • Sign off and release memory IPs on dedicated IP validation test chips.
  • Support silicon bring-up and lab characterization activities.
  • Participate in implementation, design and layout reviews.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams and contribute engineering solutions to design problems.

Requirements

Must-have and preferred skills:

  • Must-have: Proficient with EDA tools for schematic design and simulation (Cadence Virtuoso, Spectre, HSPICE; familiarity with Mentor Graphics / Synopsys tools).
  • Must-have: Hands-on experience with non-volatile and volatile memory designs (MTPM/OTP/MRAM/SRAM/eFlash).
  • Must-have: Circuit design expertise with experience in reliability and statistical analysis of circuits.
  • Must-have: Strong verbal and written technical communication skills and ability to work with cross-functional teams.
  • Nice-to-have: Verilog experience, general analog/mixed-signal design concepts, programming for design-flow automation.
  • Nice-to-have: Familiarity with multiple process technologies (Bulk CMOS, SOI) and advanced nodes (45/32/28 nm and below).

Education Requirements

Requires MTech in Electrical Engineering (VLSI, Microelectronics or related technical fields) from a reputed university.
