Memory Design Engineer - SRAM and ROM (Multiple positions 2-18 YoE)

Role Summary

The Memory Design Engineer will work in the Memory IP group, focusing on designing, simulating, and validating custom memory designs such as SRAM and ROM. The position requires collaboration with design, layout, technology, and product engineering teams to ensure high-quality output.

Experience Level

Mid-level, requiring 2-18 years of relevant industry experience.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the role include:

• Developing CMOS memories such as SP SRAM, DP SRAM, Register File, and ROM.
• Circuit design, simulation, margining, and characterization of full custom circuits.
• Conducting functional simulations and statistical analysis.
• Verifying bit cells, physical layout design, and verification.
• Signing off and releasing memory IPs on dedicated IP validation test chips.
• Supporting silicon bring-up and characterization.
• Participating in implementation & design/layout reviews.
• Contributing innovative ideas to address design problems.
• Collaborating with IP design and layout teams.

Requirements

Applicants must meet the following qualifications:

• Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (VLSI, Microelectronics, or related fields).
• Minimum 2-18 years of relevant work experience.
• Proficient in EDA tools for schematic design & simulations (e.g. Cadence, Mentor Graphics, Synopsys).
• Experience in SRAM memory designs and timing characterization; knowledge of Verilog is desirable.
• General understanding of analog mixed-signal design concepts.
• Excellent technical communication skills and ability to work in cross-functional teams.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering (VLSI, Microelectronics, or a related field) from a reputable university.
