Role Summary

The Memory Circuit Designer will work within the Engineering Group at Qualcomm India, focusing on hardware engineering for electronic systems, including memory design. The role involves planning, designing, optimizing, verifying, and testing electronic systems while collaborating with cross-functional teams.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Design and development of embedded SRAM/ROM memory systems.
  • Modeling critical paths and understanding various modeling types (RC, C, Pai, ladder, distributive, etc).
  • Collaboration with cross-functional teams on hardware solutions.
  • Optimization and verification of electronic systems.
  • Knowledge application of semiconductor physics and IC technology.

Requirements

The following qualifications are required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or related field and 6+ years of experience, OR a Master's degree and 5+ years, OR a PhD and 4+ years of experience in Hardware Engineering.
  • 10+ years of experience specifically in memory design is preferred.
  • Strong understanding of digital/memory circuit design/layouts and semiconductor physics.
  • Fundamentals of process variability and its impact on memory design.
  • Critical path modeling knowledge.

Education Requirements

A Bachelor's, Master's, or PhD degree in Computer Science, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, Engineering, or a related field is required.
