Memory Circuit Design Engineer
Role Summary
Design and validate memory-related analog, logic, and mixed-signal circuits for next-generation memory products. Work on circuit design, layout oversight, simulation and verification, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure manufacturability and successful tape-outs.
Experience Level
Entry-level - typically 1–2 years of relevant experience in memory circuit design or related fields.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include circuit design, layout management, verification, and cross-functional coordination.
- Assist with design, layout, and optimization of memory, logic, and analog circuits for new products.
- Perform parasitic modeling, design validation, reticle experiments, and required tape-out revisions.
- Oversee and manage the layout process including floor-planning, placement, and routing.
- Run verification, modeling, and simulation using industry-standard simulators.
- Coordinate with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration, and Product Engineering to ensure manufacturability.
- Engage with Standards, CAD, modeling, and verification groups to improve design quality.
- Drive innovation for future memory generations within a dynamic engineering environment.
- Leverage AI-based tools and automation to improve design efficiency and accelerate analysis.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and skills; preferred items noted separately.
- 1–2 years of hands-on experience in memory-related work, including DDR5, LPDDR5, LPDDR6, or HBM3.
- Experience with circuit layout processes: floor-planning, placement, and routing.
- Parasitic extraction, modeling, and design-for-manufacturability experience.
- Experience with verification, modeling, and simulation using industry-standard tools.
- Ability to collaborate across functional groups and communicate technical details clearly.
- Openness to using AI/automation tools to enhance workflows and analysis.
- Preferred: strong communication and teamwork skills.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or Computer Engineering. Preferred: Master’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering.
