Memory Circuit Design Engineer

Role Summary

The Memory Circuit Design Engineer designs, verifies and optimizes memory, logic and analog circuit blocks for memory products. Works within the Phoenix Aquila Hyderabad team and collaborates with layout, verification, process, test and product groups to ensure manufacturability and tape-out readiness.

Primary activities include layout oversight, parasitic modeling, simulation-driven verification, and supporting reticle experiments and design revisions.

Experience Level

Entry-level — 1–2 years of relevant industry experience as stated in the posting.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

• Design, layout and optimization of memory, logic and analog circuit blocks.
• Parasitic extraction/modeling and support for design validation and tape-out revisions.
• Oversee layout activities: floor-planning, placement, routing and layout sign-off.
• Perform verification using modeling and simulation with industry-standard simulators.
• Coordinate with Marketing, Probe, Assembly, Test, Process Integration and Product Engineering to ensure accurate manufacturability.
• Contribute to cross-group communication and standardization efforts.
• Participate in reticle experiments and drive innovation for future memory generations.
• Leverage AI-based tools and automation to improve design efficiency and accelerate analysis.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience:

• Practical experience with DDR5, LPDDR5, LPDDR6, HBM3 or other memory technologies.
• Experience in circuit verification, modeling and simulation with industry-standard tools.
• Hands-on experience with layout processes including floor-planning, placement and routing.
• Experience with parasitic modeling and design validation.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering and product teams and to drive problems to resolution.
• Willingness to adopt AI-based tools and automation in design and verification workflows.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering required. Master's degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering preferred. The posting specifies 1–2 years of experience in memory-related technologies (DDR5/LPDDR5/LPDDR6/HBM3).
