Role Summary

Develop and integrate verification IPs and verification environments for high-speed interfaces (PCIe/CXL, USB, Ethernet, DDR, etc.) as part of the Siemens EDA R&D team. Work focuses on specifying, implementing, testing and enhancing verification components used across IP and SoC verification flows.

Experience Level

Entry-level — typically 1–2 years of relevant software or verification experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities include developing and maintaining verification components and test environments for advanced interfaces and supporting verification activities across projects.

• Integrate and use Verification IPs (VIPs) for PCIe/CXL (Gen3–Gen6) and other interfaces.
• Specify, implement, test and enhance verification components and BFMs for IP and SoC level verification.
• Develop test plans, assertions, coverage models, and UVM/SV-based testbenches.
• Implement automation and scripting for verification flows and regression runs.
• Debug verification failures, maintain loggers and verification infrastructure.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams (design, QA, FPGA/emulation) to validate functionality.

Requirements

Essential technical skills and experience required; nice-to-have items are listed separately.

• Must-have: 1–2 years of software development or verification experience.
• Must-have: Practical experience with protocols such as AMBA, PCI/PCIe, SAS, Ethernet, or MIPI.
• Must-have: Experience in IP and SoC level verification.
• Must-have: Knowledge of verification methodologies and technologies: SystemVerilog, UVM, Specman/OVM, TLM, assertions, coverage, and co-simulation techniques.
• Must-have: Scripting and automation skills for verification flows.
• Nice-to-have: EDA tool experience, FPGA/emulation bring-up experience, and prior work with VIPs for PCIe/CXL.
• Other: Good interpersonal and communication skills.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics & Communication (ECE) or VLSI (Bachelors/Masters).
