Micron TechnologyJob Title
Member of Technical Staff - NAND Process Integration (MTS, NAND PI)
Role Summary
Lead design, development, integration and implementation of process solutions to improve next-generation 3D NAND product yield, quality, cost and performance. Part of the NAND Module Process Integration team in Singapore R&D, responsible for module ownership, experimental development, technology transfer and cross-functional coordination to enable high-volume manufacturing.
Experience Level
Senior. Minimum experience guidance provided by education-equivalence: see Education Requirements for degree/years mapping.
Responsibilities
Accountable for technical leadership of assigned 3D NAND process modules and for delivering module performance, yield and transfer to production.
- Lead one or more process modules; set direction, vision and continual improvement plans.
- Define structural specifications and process requirements for assigned modules.
- Design and execute device and process experiments; extract, analyze and report results with statistical rigor.
- Identify and proactively resolve structural, electrical and reliability issues using model-based problem solving.
- Optimize structural development, electrical performance, parametrics, process control and manufacturability.
- Evaluate and drive material selection and changes from research into production.
- Coordinate cross-functional activities such as reticle tape outs, flow/traveler changes, lot management and technology transfer.
- Provide team leadership: assemble and align development teams, set goals and make key technical decisions.
- Innovate and generate intellectual property; regular patent disclosures are expected.
- Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights into daily work to improve efficiency, quality, and effectiveness while exercising sound judgment.
Requirements
Summary of must-have and desirable qualifications relevant to the role (education details are in the Education Requirements section below).
- Must-have: Proven semiconductor process integration experience, including R&D and technology transfer to manufacturing.
- Must-have: Strong data analysis, problem-solving and process-integration optimization skills.
- Must-have: Effective communication and ability to collaborate across multi-functional teams; self-motivated and able to work in a demanding, dynamic environment.
- Must-have: Ability to develop a comprehensive end-to-end understanding of PI modules, structural and electrical failure mechanisms, and process-device interactions.
- Nice-to-have: Direct experience with NAND/non-volatile memories, NAND process flow, yield and reliability issues.
- Nice-to-have: Proficiency with scripting, programming or analytics/BI tools such as Python, SolidWorks, Tableau or Power BI.
- Nice-to-have: Experience in materials analysis and driving material changes from research into production.
Education Requirements
PhD with at least 8 years' relevant experience, or Master’s with at least 11 years, or Bachelor’s with at least 13 years, in Electrical Engineering, Microelectronics, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field. Semiconductor industry experience is expected; the posting expresses degree-plus-years equivalence as the primary qualification metric.
