Member of Technical Staff (MTS) – Process Development, Photolithography, NAND

Role Summary

Senior technical leader responsible for defining and executing photolithography direction across multiple technology nodes for NAND development. The role shapes integration strategy, mentors engineering teams, and drives technical innovation and decisions across R&D and manufacturing.

Experience Level

Senior. Experience guidance provided by the employer: PhD with ≥8 years, Master's with ≥11 years, or Bachelor's with ≥13 years of relevant semiconductor photolithography process development experience.

Responsibilities

Primary responsibilities focus on leading photolithography process development, technology roadmapping, risk reduction for novel approaches, and cross-functional technical leadership.

  • Lead complex photolithography process development programs across multiple technology nodes.
  • Define medium- to long-term photolithography process and equipment technology roadmaps.
  • De-risk novel lithography concepts and platforms.
  • Serve as a technical authority across R&D and manufacturing, guiding integration strategy.
  • Mentor senior engineers and provide technical guidance across projects.
  • Generate high-impact intellectual property through patents and technical publications.
  • Integrate AI-assisted tools and insights to improve efficiency, quality, and effectiveness while complying with standards and legal requirements.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying, testing, and sharing AI-enabled enhancements within scope of work.

Requirements

Must-have technical and interpersonal skills for immediate impact; preferred skills listed separately.

  • Proven track record defining and accomplishing photolithography process and equipment roadmaps.
  • Deep knowledge of optics, immersion lithography, polarized illumination, and low k1 imaging.
  • Strong understanding of semiconductor process flows and memory architecture.
  • Advanced proficiency with lithography simulation tools, material characterization, design of experiments (DOE), statistical process control (SPC), and basic statistical data analysis.
  • Technical leadership, strategic thinking, and effective mentorship skills.
  • Preferred: EUV lithography experience.
  • Preferred: Experience with advanced photolithography equipment and metrology tools.
  • Preferred: Multi-site program leadership experience.

Education Requirements

Employer specifies degree-plus-experience thresholds: PhD with ≥8 years, Master’s with ≥11 years, or Bachelor’s with ≥13 years of relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemical Engineering, Physics, or a related technical field.
