Job Title

Member of Technical Staff (MTS) – HBM Design for Test (DFT)

Role Summary

The Member of Technical Staff (MTS) for HBM Design for Test (DFT) is a senior technical leader responsible for defining DFT strategy, architecture, and governance across HBM core die and base die families.

The role provides technical leadership across design, verification, and manufacturing interfaces, serving as the DFT design authority to ensure solutions are consistent, scalable, verifiable, and manufacturable.

Experience Level

Senior — requires significant prior experience; the posting specifies 10+ years in semiconductor development with deep exposure to DFT, verification strategy, or manufacturability.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include defining architecture, driving governance, and coordinating across functional teams.

  • Define and own DFT architecture and technical framework across HBM core die and base die.
  • Ensure DFT solutions deliver high quality, low cost, and manufacturable HBM products.
  • Lead DFT governance: architecture alignment reviews, design and verification readiness assessments, and cross-program issue resolution.
  • Serve as primary technical interface for DFT with Design Engineering, DFT Verification, Product Engineering, and Test.
  • Drive spec‑to‑coverage rigor for DFT features and test modes across programs.
  • Promote standardization, documentation, and automation to improve scalability and reduce execution variability.
  • Influence long‑term DFT roadmap using silicon learnings, verification feedback, and manufacturing needs.
  • Champion process improvements to improve DFT clarity, verification quality, and execution predictability.

Requirements

Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.

  • 10+ years of semiconductor development experience focused on DFT, verification strategy, or manufacturability.
  • Proven experience setting technical direction across design and verification interfaces.
  • Deep practical knowledge of DFT methodologies and verification practices for complex memory products.
  • Experience coordinating across design, verification, product engineering, and test teams.
  • Strong communication skills for interfacing with senior technical stakeholders.

Nice-to-have:

  • System-level understanding of memory products, especially HBM or DRAM.
  • Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical decisions without direct managerial authority.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field is required; Master’s or PhD is preferred. Fields related to electrical/computer engineering, computer science, physics, or similar technical disciplines are relevant. (The posting does not specify acceptable equivalents beyond the listed degrees.)
