Role Summary
Senior engineer responsible for physical mask and interposer layout for NVIDIA package products. Works with package technical leads, signal-integrity and technology teams to develop detailed silicon interposer layouts and resolve manufacturability, cost, and electrical issues.

Senior. The posting requests 3+ years of relevant mask and layout design experience.
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Collaborate with package technical lead, I/O signal-integrity, and technology engineers to drive package layout solutions.
- Perform physical layout for silicon interposers using Cadence tools and execute custom layout tasks.
- Conduct design feasibility studies to evaluate size, cost, and system performance trade-offs.
- Develop floorplans, implement layout, and verify against design rules and netlists.
- Propose layout design trade-offs and support schedule, cost, and manufacturing resolution.
Requirements
Must-have and preferred technical skills:
- Must-have: 3+ years proven experience in mask and layout design for submicron CMOS technologies.
- Must-have: Expert use of Cadence layout tools, particularly Virtuoso.
- Must-have: Experience with verification tools such as Calibre, ICV, Thunder, or similar.
- Must-have: Proficiency in scripting (Perl, Python, Skill, etc.).
- Must-have: Familiarity with DRC and LVS flows and ability to customize decks.
- Must-have: Strong teamwork and communication skills.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of Integrity auto-routing and APD package layout tool.
- Nice-to-have: Practical understanding of packaging technology.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering preferred, or equivalent practical experience.
