Manufacturing Test Engineer
Role Summary
Responsible for developing and maintaining board-level test methodology and infrastructure for NVIDIA GPU and Tesla PCIe products at the Hsinchu manufacturing site. Work with design, software, operations and contract manufacturer (CM) teams to validate designs, automate test flows, and enable production ramp.
Experience Level
Mid-level β typically requires 5+ years of experience in manufacturing test and test infrastructure development.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include defining and executing test strategies, supporting production ramp, and troubleshooting board-level issues.
- Collaborate with internal teams and CM factories to maintain test infrastructure and manufacturing test flows.
- Plan and execute roadmap items and ramp test capacity across multiple CM sites.
- Design, develop, and implement cost-effective test methods and troubleshooting procedures for board-level products.
- Diagnose test failures and analyze issues with hardware, firmware/software, and operations teams.
- Provide feedback on debug tools and support board-level debug activities during NPI and mass production.
- Develop automation for product definitions, data collection, test execution, and results analysis.

Must-have qualifications and skills for successful performance in this role.
Must-have
- 5+ years' experience in manufacturing test and test infrastructure development.
- Familiarity with GPU, DPU and data-center platform test software.
- Strong knowledge of low-level software drivers and kernel-level interactions.
- Ability to debug at board and system level and use probing/debug hardware.
- Effective communicator in English with good organization, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Self-motivated and able to drive projects with minimal supervision and work across distributed teams.
Nice-to-have
- Knowledge of board and data-center manufacturing processes and system testing.
- Experience with x86 assembly, PC architecture, and power management.
- Scripting and programming experience (Shell, Java, Perl, Python) and familiarity with multiple OS (Windows, CentOS, Ubuntu).
- Experience in test solution design, failure analysis, test program development, and system-level diagnostics.
Education Requirements
BS or MS degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Automatic Control, Systems Engineering, or a closely related technical field.
