Role Summary
Lead day-to-day manufacturing execution at Etched's Taiwan-based tier 1 contract manufacturer to ramp and sustain production of AI hardware, including package assembly and server construction. Act as the in-region operations owner interfacing with production engineering, planning, and supply chain teams.
This is a hands-on, factory-facing role with direct accountability for throughput, yield, quality, and timely resolution of production issues.
Experience Level
Senior level — requires 8+ years of experience in data center product manufacturing operations, OPM, contract manufacturing, or TPM roles.
Responsibilities
Execute and manage production performance, cross-functional coordination, and ramp planning at the Taiwan contract manufacturer.
- Own manufacturing execution for L6/L10/L11 production at the Taiwan CM and provide day-to-day operational leadership.
- Serve as primary communication bridge between the Taiwan factory and Etched cross-functional teams.
- Lead factory capacity planning and develop mass production (MP) ramp scenarios.
- Partner with CM, production planning, and materials teams to develop and execute weekly production schedules.
- Oversee SMT, mechanical assembly, and test operations to meet yield, quality, throughput, and output targets.
- Drive resolution of manufacturing and technical issues, including DFM/DFx improvements, yield optimization, and rework reduction.
- Coordinate new product introduction (NPI) builds, mass production ramps, engineering change orders (ECOs), and process changes.
- Provide real-time visibility into build status, identify deviations, escalate risks, and drive corrective actions.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience required for on-site factory execution and cross-regional coordination.
- 8+ years in data center product manufacturing operations, OPM, contract manufacturing, or TPM roles.
- Proven track record working with tier 1 contract manufacturers in Taiwan or Asia.
- Ability and willingness to travel regularly and manage execution in person at the factory.
- Excellent communication skills; bilingual Mandarin and English preferred.
- Skilled at managing escalations, coordinating across time zones, and enforcing timelines.
Nice-to-have:
- Exposure to mass production ramp planning or cost-of-yield improvement initiatives.
Education Requirements
