Job Title
Manager / Senior Manager, Analog Engineering
Role Summary
Lead and manage a precision analog design team responsible for analog and power integrated-circuit (IC) development within the power product line. Deliver block-level designs from specification through layout, verification, lab evaluation and ramp to production.
Act as technical project lead, coordinate cross-functional teams (layout, verification, test, product, applications) and interface with customers on system-level requirements.
Experience Level
Senior β typically 11β20 years of professional experience in analog IC design and engineering management.
Responsibilities
Core responsibilities include technical leadership, team and resource planning, hands-on design, and cross-functional delivery.
- Manage day-to-day activities and resource planning for the analog design team to meet project schedules and tape-out targets.
- Provide technical project leadership and guidance across analog and power IC development projects.
- Perform hands-on block-level analog/power design from specification to clean database for tape-out.
- Run block-level and top-level mixed-mode simulations to meet datasheet parameters and drive specifications.
- Coordinate with layout, verification, test, product and application engineers and guide layout for high-speed and precision performance.
- Conduct lab evaluation, support test development, and support ramp-to-production activities.
- Initiate peer reviews, document technical issues, and engage customers to understand system-level requirements.
Requirements
Key technical and leadership requirements. Education details are listed under Education Requirements below.
-
Must-have: Proven experience in an analog IC design management role and leading engineering teams.
-
Must-have: Hands-on analog and power block design experience, including ADCs (SAR/Sigma-Delta), precision amplifiers, bandgap references, switching regulators, LDOs, DACs and system-level simulation.
-
Must-have: Design experience in CMOS/BiCMOS processes.
-
Must-have: Strong written and verbal cross-functional communication skills.
-
Nice-to-have: Experience with small-geometry BCD processes.
-
Preferred: Advanced knowledge of mixed-signal Cadence tools and parasitic-extraction workflows.
Education Requirements
Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering (BSEE) required; Master of Science in Electrical Engineering (MSEE) preferred. The posting allows equivalent education or equivalent practical experience.
