Manager, SAW R&D Integration
Role Summary
Manage the SAW (Surface Acoustic Wave) process integration team to advance next-generation device development. Lead engineers across multiple technology development projects focused on improving device performance, reducing size, and lowering cost.
Partner with technology experts to define the SAW roadmap and ensure developed processes transition successfully into volume manufacturing.
Experience Level
Senior / Management — typically requires 6+ years of direct experience in semiconductor research or manufacturing (3+ years if PhD).
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include leading the team, driving process development projects, and executing transitions to high-volume manufacturing.
- Lead the device integration team to meet project goals and implement technical solutions.
- Design and execute experiments to establish and optimize manufacturing processes.
- Drive process modules from development into high-volume manufacturing; manage milestones and risk.
- Implement monitoring, process controls and metrics to support manufacturing transfer.
- Collaborate and communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders and technology experts.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues in a team environment.
Requirements
Must-have qualifications and skills for the role; a short list of preferred additions follows.
- 6+ years direct experience in semiconductor research or manufacturing (3+ years if PhD).
- Experience with statistical process control (SPC) and design of experiments (DoE).
- Demonstrated problem-solving ability and experience with data analysis tools (e.g., Matlab, Python, Spotfire or similar).
- Proficient with MS Excel, PowerPoint and Windows-based software.
- Strong communication, presentation and collaboration skills.
- Experience with project management software (e.g., Wrike, MS Project).
Nice-to-have:
- Scripting/programming experience (SQL, data analysis scripting).
Education Requirements
MS in Electrical Engineering, Materials Science, Physics or a related technical field; PhD acceptable. Equivalent practical experience may be considered. (Note: experience requirement: 6+ years in semiconductor research/manufacturing, or 3+ years if PhD.)
