Manager, Product & Test Engineering

Role Summary

Lead and manage product and test engineering activities at the Penang site. The role owns development and deployment of test solutions, product qualification, and cross-functional coordination to meet product quality, reliability, and schedule targets.

Responsible for coaching and directing a technical team, driving process improvements, and delivering measurable yield and test-cost outcomes.

Responsibilities

Core responsibilities include technical leadership, team management, and accountability for product test readiness and quality.

• Manage and mentor a team of product and test engineers; allocate resources and set priorities.
• Define and execute test strategies for new and existing products, including test program development and validation.
• Lead product qualification and reliability test activities to ensure customer and internal specifications are met.
• Coordinate cross-functional activities with design, manufacturing, quality, and operations to resolve test and yield issues.
• Establish metrics and drive continuous improvement in test coverage, test time, yield, and cost.
• Oversee test equipment selection, deployment, and supplier/vendor interactions as needed.
• Prepare technical reports and present status to senior management and stakeholders.

Must-have:

• Proven experience in semiconductor product/test engineering with responsibility for test development, qualification, or yield improvement.
• Prior people management or team leadership experience.
• Practical knowledge of test flow, test program development, ATE, and failure analysis methodologies.
• Strong problem-solving skills and experience working with cross-functional teams in a manufacturing or product environment.
• Effective communication skills for technical reporting and stakeholder management.

Nice-to-have:

• Experience with specific test platforms, automation frameworks, or test engineering tools used in semiconductor manufacturing.
• Exposure to reliability testing methods and qualification standards.
