Manager, Manufacturing Test Engineering
Role Summary
Lead manufacturing test engineering for next-generation boards and systems, owning test methodology, test program release, execution, and coordination with contract manufacturers, suppliers, and internal teams. Manage a team responsible for test processes, tools, automation, and testing facility operations.
Focus on improving test scalability, quality, and efficiency across the product lifecycle.
Experience Level
Senior — requires approximately 8+ years of manufacturing test experience with 3+ years of management experience.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include:
- Develop and lead manufacturing test methodology and execution plans across the full product lifecycle.
- Own the test program release process and ensure timely, validated execution of test programs.
- Coordinate test solution implementation and automation with suppliers, contract manufacturers, and internal teams.
- Oversee the design, build, and upkeep of testing facilities and test hardware.
- Lead, mentor, and grow the test engineering team; drive process improvements and resolve cross-functional issues.
Requirements
Must-have skills and experience:
- 8+ years of manufacturing test experience and 3+ years of people management experience.
- Extensive expertise in test methods, test program development, and test hardware design, validation, and implementation.
- Experience managing contract manufacturers and supplier test implementations.
- Strong communication, problem-solving, decision-making, teamwork, and analytical skills.
Education Requirements
Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, or a related field — or equivalent practical experience.
