Role Summary

The Manager of IP Verification leads a team responsible for the verification of IP cores at Synopsys. This role involves managing complex verification projects, ensuring high-quality standards, and fostering team development within a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities of the Manager, IP Verification include:

• Managing a team of skilled individual contributors specializing in IP verification.
• Planning, establishing, and tracking goals for team members to ensure alignment with business targets.
• Guiding employee development and performance management through coaching and mentorship.
• Leading verification processes and tactical initiatives for synthesisable IP cores.
• Overseeing implementation of state-of-the-art verification environments across multiple domains.
• Coordinating verification tasks for protocols such as USB, PCI Express, Ethernet, and AMBA.
• Ensuring adherence to quality metrics and managing regression standards throughout verification.
• Mentoring engineers in both technical and professional development.

Requirements

The ideal candidate will have the following qualifications:

• BS/BE in Electrical Engineering with 8+ years of relevant experience or MS with 6+ years in IP core/SOC verification.
• Proven experience managing and leading verification engineering teams.
• Expertise in verification methodologies such as UVM/VMM/OVM and HVL coding.
• Advanced knowledge in test planning, environment development, and debugging.
• Experience with industry standard simulators (e.g., VCS) and debugging tools.
• Strong skills in functional coverage coding, test case creation, analysis, and regression management.
• Familiarity with industry standard buses and protocols is a plus.

Education Requirements

BS/BE in Electrical Engineering or MS in a relevant field.
