Manager, Hardware Offensive Security - Silicon Architecture

Role Summary

This role involves leading a specialized team focused on research and penetration testing of silicon-level security architectures. The position is critical to ensuring the resilience of NVIDIA's hardware platforms against advanced threats through offensive security strategies and collaboration across functional teams.

Experience Level

Mid-level, with 8+ years of experience and at least 2 years in a leadership role.

Responsibilities

The responsibilities include:

• Develop and implement advanced penetration testing methodologies targeting silicon and hardware security features.
• Identify and exploit vulnerabilities in chip-level security mechanisms.
• Analyze and challenge security assumptions in hardware architecture designs.
• Provide actionable recommendations to mitigate risks.
• Collaborate with architecture and design teams to integrate security standards early.
• Mentor team members and publish research findings.

Requirements

The position requires:

• Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field (Ph.D. preferred).
• 8+ years of experience in hardware security or related fields.
• 2+ years of leadership experience.
• Deep understanding of microarchitecture and SoC design principles.
• Strong programming skills in C/C++, Python, or assembly.

Education Requirements

A Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field is required; Ph.D. is preferred.
