Job Title

Manager, Distinguished Engineer - DGX Systems Software

Role Summary

Lead engineering for end-to-end delivery of NVIDIA DGX compute systems, owning firmware through the AI software stack to ensure production-ready platforms. Coordinate cross-functional teams (GPU, CPU, networking, OS, drivers, and AI software) and drive platform architecture, roadmap, and GA release readiness.

Experience Level

Senior-level. Typical background: 12+ years in systems firmware/software engineering with at least 5 years in engineering leadership.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Own end-to-end software and firmware readiness and GA release process for DGX platforms, delivering firmware bundles, BaseOS ISOs, and release documentation.
  • Lead platform firmware development (BMC, BIOS) and integrate partner firmware at system level.
  • Define and execute validation strategy: firmware regression, NVQual certification, DL workload performance, OS/CUDA testing, multi-user scenarios, power/thermal validation, and field upgrade reliability.
  • Drive platform bring-up and architecture for new DGX systems, including update mechanisms and system security posture.
  • Ensure firmware release flows meet cloud service provider and enterprise deployment requirements; represent platform readiness in executive reviews.
  • Manage external vendors and own quality gates, RCCA processes, and program tracking for firmware components.
  • Build and lead an engineering organization; mentor leaders and establish technical discipline.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications:

  • 12+ years in systems firmware/software engineering and 5+ years managing engineering organizations across multiple geographies.
  • Deep expertise in server system stack: SBIOS, BMC, OS, drivers, applications, and system-level integration.
  • Proven track record delivering multi-generation server or data-center platforms from architecture through customer deployment.
  • Strong understanding of server hardware: CPU, GPU, interconnect, memory, PCIe, and power delivery.
  • Experience owning end-to-end product quality, full-stack validation, and field deployment.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience with NVIDIA DGX or GPU-accelerated server platforms and server bring-up for new silicon.
  • Familiarity with DMTF Redfish, OCP standards, and server manageability ecosystems.
  • Experience validating AI/DL workloads and optimizing platform performance; demonstrated ability to influence at VP/SVP level.

Education Requirements

BS or MS in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
