Job Title

Manager, DFT - Post Silicon

Role Summary

Lead a DFT/Post-Silicon engineering team responsible for transferring design-for-test (DFT) technologies into post-silicon validation and production test across Switch, NIC and SoC product lines.

Coordinate cross-functional activities with chip design, backend, verification, yield, firmware and production test teams to define and enable characterization, validation and production-test methodologies.

Experience Level

Senior β€” typically 8+ years in DFT, silicon validation or test engineering with at least 2 years of managerial experience.

Responsibilities

Define and lead post-silicon characterization, validation and production-test methodology; act as the synchronization point between teams and drive execution.

  • Define characterization and validation techniques spanning electrical, functional and performance domains.
  • Drive alignment on tooling, flows and coverage requirements ahead of tape-out and first silicon.
  • Translate product requirements and silicon behavior into structured characterization plans with coverage targets and product-quality metrics.
  • Lead methodology transfer into execution; coordinate tooling, methods and staffing for smooth handoffs.
  • Identify methodology gaps early and resolve them through cross-functional collaboration.
  • Support production test enablement and liaise with yield, firmware and test engineering teams.

Requirements

Must-have qualifications and relevant experience.

  • 8+ years' experience in DFT, IC silicon validation, product engineering or test engineering.
  • 2+ years of people-management experience.
  • Hands-on engineering background; able to provide technical leadership and work hands-on when needed.
  • Strong analytical skills and ability to operate in a fast-paced, multifaceted environment.
  • Strong cross-functional communication skills; experience coordinating with teams across time zones.
  • Ability to self-manage and demonstrate leadership in delivery and process definition.

Nice-to-have:

  • Experience developing verification environments and random-based verification (simulation tools, Verilog, debug tools).
  • Experience with Specman or UVM.
  • Good understanding of RTL design (Verilog).
  • Product engineering experience.

Education Requirements

B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering or equivalent practical experience.
