Job Title

Manager, ATE Test Development

Role Summary

Manage an ATE Test Engineering team responsible for transferring LPU products from design to mass production, developing ATE test and automation solutions, and improving yields, test coverage, capacity, and cost. Collaborate with product, design, and overseas manufacturing teams to support production and new product introduction.

Experience Level

Senior β€” 8+ years of relevant ATE testing experience with at least 4 years of team leadership or management experience.

Responsibilities

Lead the development and execution of production test strategies, automation, and cross-functional improvements.

  • Lead a team developing test and automation solutions for chips and assembled boards.
  • Define test strategies and roadmap; identify and prioritize opportunities for improvement.
  • Drive cross-functional workflow improvements including automation, simulation, and AI-assisted tools.
  • Provide technical mentorship and strategic direction for the team.
  • Develop and track KPIs to measure test process effectiveness and efficiency.
  • Collaborate with product, design, and manufacturing teams to support new product introduction activities.
  • Partner with overseas manufacturing teams to increase yields, coverage, and capacity, and to reduce production costs.

Requirements

Core technical and leadership requirements; candidates should meet the must-haves and ideally several of the nice-to-haves.

  • 8+ years of ATE testing experience, with emphasis on SRAM testing.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience leading engineering teams.
  • Hands-on experience with Advantest 93K ATE platform and SmarTest 8 (critical).
  • Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Understanding of DFT insertion techniques such as SCAN, ATPG, MBIST, and IOBIST.
  • Strong communication, critical thinking, leadership, and collaboration skills.

Nice-to-have:

  • Knowledge of active thermal management.
  • Product engineering experience: yield analysis, vmin/fmax characterization, defect analysis.
  • Teradyne UFlex experience.
  • Experience using AI-assisted workflows (e.g., ChatGPT, Claude, Cursor) to improve efficiency.

Education Requirements

Bachelor's degree or higher in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
