Manager Analog Engineer (f/m/d)
Role Summary
Lead analog and mixed-signal product development for ICs, defining system architecture and IP requirements, managing design, verification and layout plans, and coordinating cross-functional activities. Responsible for delivering high-quality products and mentoring the engineering team.
Experience Level
Senior-level. Approximately 15 years of experience in analog and mixed-signal design.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities include technical leadership, product architecture, verification planning, and cross-functional collaboration.
- Define product specifications and system architecture to meet targets for performance, power, and die size.
- Specify requirements for analog IP blocks and support their integration.
- Create and maintain comprehensive analog and mixed-signal verification plans.
- Plan design, verification, and layout activities with project management.
- Ensure engineering best practices through peer reviews and documentation.
- Collaborate with test development, product engineering, bench evaluation, and quality assurance teams.
- Mentor, coach, and develop team members.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and capabilities.
- Deep competency in analog design and precision analog circuitry.
- Design experience in power management circuits and high-voltage (BCD) processes.
- Ability to develop system-level architectures and balance big-picture and detailed issues.
- Knowledge of analog circuit modeling and AMS simulation methodologies.
- Understanding of IC development beyond analog: basic digital design flow, packaging, test engineering, QA, and product engineering.
- Excellent communication skills for global collaboration.
- Proven experience in coaching and mentoring engineering staff.
Education Requirements
Master's degree plus a minimum of 15 years' experience in analog and mixed-signal design. No alternate-equivalent language provided.
