LVS Runset Development Engineer
Role Summary
Develop and validate LVS (layout versus schematic) runsets and verification flows to ensure layout compliance with Intel processes. Work with PDK and foundry teams, device physicists, process integration, and analog designers to support design verification and debug.

Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities for the role include developing LVS rule decks and maintaining verification flows.
- Develop, validate, and QA LVS/extraction runsets for Intel process nodes.
- Integrate and harmonize verification flows across ICV, Calibre, and Pegasus to ensure consistent results.
- Debug LVS issues and provide expert support to design teams.
- Automate execution, reporting, and tracking using scripting (Python, SKILL, Tcl, Perl, Shell).
- Collaborate with device physicists, process integration engineers, PDK/foundry contacts, and analog designers.
- Create and maintain documentation and guidelines for designers to enable correct-by-construction layouts.
Requirements
Must-have technical skills and experience; preferred items listed separately.
- Proven experience with LVS runset development and LVS/debug workflows.
- Familiarity with SVRF/TVF and verification rule languages.
- Scripting experience in Python or Tcl; experience with Shell scripting and Linux environments.
- Experience working across multiple EDA tools (ICV, Calibre, Pegasus) and validating cross-tool consistency.
- Strong debugging, problem-solving skills, and ability to support design teams under time constraints.
- Ability to write automation scripts for execution, reporting, and version tracking (Python, SKILL, Tcl, Perl).
- Effective communicator and team player with experience working with global, cross-functional teams.
Education Requirements
Preferred qualifications stated in the posting: Bachelor's degree with 10+ years of relevant experience, Master's degree with 8+ years, or PhD with 2+ years in LVS runset development or a related field. Semiconductor industry experience is expected; basic AI experience is an added skill.
