Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include developing and validating RET and OPC solutions, analyzing process data, and delivering production-ready software and documentation.

  • Perform Optical Proximity Correction (OPC) simulations and model calibration.
  • Research, design, implement, and optimize Resolution Enhancement Techniques (RET) for current and novel process technologies.
  • Develop and optimize OPC recipe code; validate performance against process data.
  • Apply image processing, statistical analysis, predictive modeling, and machine learning to analyze fab data and drive RET algorithms.
  • Implement algorithmic layout manipulation for design pattern correction and mask optimization.
  • Support production mask tapeout, RET validation, and transfer of solutions to manufacturing.
  • Create technical documentation and present results to cross-functional teams.

Requirements

Must-have technical experience and capabilities; preferred items listed separately.

  • Significant semiconductor industry experience with emphasis on computational lithography, RET, or mask optimization.
  • Extensive knowledge of OPC concepts, model development, and OPC toolflows.
  • Experience with OPC model calibration, image processing, and statistical analysis of process data.
  • Practical software development skills for scientific/engineering applications and code optimization for OPC recipes.
  • Experience using predictive modeling, statistics or machine learning to develop RET algorithms.
  • Experience supporting production mask tapeout and RET validation.
  • This position is not eligible for Intel immigration sponsorship.

Nice-to-have:

  • Familiarity with the latest OPC/RET techniques for supporting both high-volume manufacturing and developing technology nodes.

Education Requirements

Documented alternatives in the posting: PhD in Engineering, Physics, Physical Science, or related fields with 4+ years semiconductor industry experience; OR Master’s degree in those fields with 6+ years experience; OR Bachelor’s degree in those fields with 9+ years experience.
