Low Power Verification Applications Engineer
Role Summary
Performs applications engineering for low-power verification of digital designs and Synopsys tools. Works with product and customer teams to enable verification flows, diagnose issues, and improve tool adoption.
Based in the Bengaluru Applications Engineering team, focused on low-power verification methodologies and customer support.
Experience Level
Mid-level (typical 3–7 years of relevant experience).
Responsibilities
Key responsibilities include:
- Support customers and internal teams on low-power verification flows and tool usage.
- Develop and run verification testbenches and regression suites focused on power intent.
- Analyze and debug verification failures, determine root cause, and log defects.
- Integrate power intent (UPF/CPF) into verification environments and flows.
- Automate tasks and maintain test infrastructure using scripting.
- Document findings, best practices, and provide technical training to customers.
Requirements
Must-have and nice-to-have qualifications:
- Must-have: Practical experience with low-power verification methodologies and power intent (UPF/CPF).
- Must-have: Hands-on experience with SystemVerilog/UVM or equivalent verification languages.
- Must-have: Familiarity with EDA verification tools and debug workflows.
- Must-have: Scripting ability (Python, Tcl, Perl) to automate tests and flows.
- Nice-to-have: Experience in customer-facing or applications engineering roles.
- Nice-to-have: Knowledge of RTL design, synthesis, or static timing analysis.
- Nice-to-have: Strong written and verbal communication skills.
