Logic Design Team Lead
Role Summary
Lead a team of logic designers developing IPU and NIC silicon for data-center acceleration. Responsible for driving the RTL design and implementation through the full development cycle from specification and architecture collaboration to tape-out.
The role requires close coordination with architecture, validation, backend, firmware, software and SoC teams to deliver production-quality silicon on schedule.
Experience Level
Senior — typically 7+ years of chip design experience with 3+ years of design team management.
Responsibilities
Primary responsibilities focus on technical leadership, delivery and cross-functional coordination.
- Lead and mentor a team of logic designers; manage team priorities and career development.
- Drive design implementation from specification to silicon, including RTL development and reviews.
- Coordinate across architecture, verification, backend, firmware, software and SoC teams to meet schedule and quality targets.
- Ensure RTL code quality, adherence to design practices, and timely resolution of design issues.
- Participate in design-for-test, timing closure, CDC sign-off and tape-out readiness activities.
Requirements
Must-have technical experience and management background listed first; advantages follow.
- 7+ years of chip/ASIC design experience.
- 3+ years of experience managing or leading an IC design team.
- Proficient in SystemVerilog/Verilog for RTL design.
- Strong problem-solving and clear communication skills.
- Nice-to-have: experience with networking designs.
- Nice-to-have: familiarity with lint, CDC/RDC and SDC flows.
- Nice-to-have: basic knowledge of synthesis tools and flows.
Education Requirements
BSc in Electrical Engineering or BSc in Computer Engineering.
